Frequently Asked Questions

What Can I Expect From My Holistic Health And Wellness Consultation?

The format is similar to what you probably have experienced at other visits with a health practitioner.  As a new patient you will be asked to complete a detailed intake form and return it before your initial visit. The intake form and any other records can be submitted online via secure private email.

Complementary/alternative medical practitioners typically spend significant time with their patients in order to develop and maintain a strong doctor-patient relationship. Your first visit can take up to 2 hours, during which your doctor will review the information about your past and present medical history, ask in-depth questions about current symptoms, and gain an overall picture of you, your lifestyle, your habits, family history and outside influences which may be impacting your general health and wellness. You’ll also be asked about your diet, medications, stress levels and long-term health goals.  This process is designed to create a trusting, healing environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your concerns from a physical, mental, and emotional perspective.

Follow-up appointments, to check-in and to adjust the care plan as indicated, are 45 minutes to 1 hour longThese are typically scheduled anywhere from 4-6 weeks to 8-12 weeks apart, based on your individual needs and health progress.

What Is Telemedicine And How Does It Work?

Telemedicine describes a variety of health care services, such as initial and routine followup visits, that can be delivered by video as well as at a traditional officeDuring your telemedicine appointment, you’ll receive the same exceptional level of care and attention you would receive during an in-person visit.

Video telemedicine appointments are conducted online using Zoom, a HIPAA-compliant platform that is easy to use on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Video appointments are offered for both new and existing patients. Convenient telephone appointments are available, but this option is for existing patients only.
